Dedicated "Dashcam" Port — Not a Generic USB-C Charger
The D6000 has two clearly labeled USB-C ports: one marked "Dashcam" that delivers a stable, regulated 5V / 3A output your A329 / A329S / A229 Ultra was engineered to receive, and one PD fast-charge port for phones and laptops. Connect the included USB-C cable between the "Dashcam" port and the Type-C port on your camera's GPS module (or directly into the camera if GPS isn't used). This prevents the random reboots, "low voltage" warnings and SD card corruption seen when high-current dash cams are powered from generic USB-C PD chargers.
Important: Do not use a phone charger or third-party USB-C cable to power your A329 / A329S / A229 Ultra. PD-only chargers may negotiate the wrong voltage profile for the camera and cause file errors or boot loops. Always plug into the port labeled "Dashcam".

The D5000 uses dual USB-A output (with a USB-A to USB-C cable) and is designed for A119 Mini 2, A229 Plus, A229 Pro, A139 / A139 Pro and T130. The D6000 uses dual USB-C output with a dedicated regulated 5V/3A "Dashcam" port plus a USB-C PD fast-charging port, and is designed specifically for the higher-current flagship models: A329, A329S and A229 Ultra.
Will the VIOFO D6000 fit my A329S or A229 Ultra?
Yes. The D6000 is officially compatible with the A329S (1CH / 2CH / 3CH), A329, A229 Ultra (2CH / 3CH) and all related variants (A329SW, A329T, A329TC, A329WW, A329TW, A229 Ultra-W). It is NOT compatible with the A229 Plus, A229 Pro, A119 Mini 2, A139 or T130 — those use the D5000 instead.
Can I use a regular USB-C PD phone charger instead?
It's not recommended. A329-series and A229 Ultra dash cams need a clean, regulated 5V / 3A line. Generic USB-C PD chargers negotiate variable voltages (9V, 12V, 15V, 20V) that can confuse the camera's input circuitry and cause reboots or file errors. The D6000's "Dashcam" port is locked to the exact 5V profile VIOFO engineered around.
Does the D6000 enable parking mode recording?
No. The D6000 is a cigarette-lighter charger that only powers your dash cam when the ignition is on. For 24-hour parking-mode recording on A329S series, you need the VIOFO HK6 ACC hardwire kit; for A229 Ultra and A329 the VIOFO HK4 hardwire kit is the right choice. Both wire directly to the fuse box with low-voltage cut-off to prevent battery drain.
How fast can the D6000's PD port charge my phone or laptop?
The second USB-C port supports full USB Power Delivery up to 20V / 1.5A (30W). That's fast enough to fast-charge iPhone 15/16, Samsung Galaxy S-series, iPad, MacBook Air, Nintendo Switch and most modern Android phones at their maximum supported speed.
