Connecting the APP to the Dash Cam

Keep the Dash Cam and mobile phone within 2.5 meters.

1. Enable WiFi on the dashcam. This may vary depending on the dashcam model you’re using. If you’re connecting to a VIOFO A229 dashcam, you can press the Wi-Fi button on the face of the dashcam directly to enable the WiFi.
2. The dash cam screen should display a WiFi symbol. The WiFi LED should also light up, and the network name should appear on the screen.
3. Go to the WiFi settings on your phone and connect to network name "VIOFO_model name_XXXX".  The default password is "12345678".
4. launch the VIOFO app on your smartphone and select "Connect your camera”.

You'll know your phone is connected to the dashcam when you see the live view of your cameras on your phone screen. Once connected you can change the settings and check the files stored on your dashcam memory card. You also have the option to download your recordings to your phone!

Navigate through the gear symbol in the bottom right corner to configure the dashcam settings. The little library icon on the bottom left is where you can access your video recordings.

Note: Change the default Wifi password to protect your privacy.
