Indicator Status
- Purple light is always on = Power on instantly
- Blue light flashes slowly = Working normally
- Red light flashes slowly = Parking monitoring
- Purple light flashes quickly = Abnormal storage
- Purple light is always on = Upgrading
- Purple light flashes slowly = Testing mode
- Purple light slowly = Voice activation
- Blue light flashes slowly = Voice activation complete
Installation
- Clean an area on the windshield where you wish the Dashcam to be installed.
- Open the protection cover of the memory card slot, insert the memory card into the slot, pay attention to the front and back sides, and close the protection after completion.
- Remove the protective film from the back of the bracket, and attach the adhesive side of the mount on the windshield where it has an unobstructed view of the road but does not interfere with the driver's view. As shown below
- Use the installation tool to lift the edges of the windshield/molding and tuck in the power cable. Connect the dashcam power cable to the car charger/cigarette lighter socket.
- After the car starts, the dashcam powers up and starts recording.
Install DDPAI App
Use the links below to download the App and install it on your phone. You can also search for “DDPAI” in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to get them.
Connecting the APP to the Dash Cam
- Keep the Dash Cam and mobile phone within 2.5 meters.
- Launch the DDPAI App, and tap on “Device > Connect new devices”.
- Choose your DDPAI Dash Cam from the network list.
- For the Android: the App will start to search the Dash Cam network automatically.
- For iOS: turn on WLAN from “Settings ->WLAN”).
- The Dash Cam’s default SSID (or Wi-Fi name) is DDPAI_(Model)_XXXX.
- Enter the password (the default password is ‘1234567890’).
- Enter the DDPAI App, and wait a few seconds until the preview screen shows.
- You might need to list the App in your trusted application list.
- Make sure the camera’s Wi-Fi is on.
- Change the default Wifi password to protect your privacy.
App Instructions
Preview
- Open the DDPAI App.
- Select 'Device > Entering' tab, this will bring you to the preview page.
Rotate your smartphone or press the icon to change the view to landscape mode
Playback
Tap and left/right drag the timeline bar at the screen bottom to creat the starting point of the recording you wish to preview, tap on the thumbnail when you have made your selection, or wait for 5 sec for buffering, now you can watch the history recording.
Download Video Files
- Tap and left/right drag the timeline bar at the screen bottom to create the starting point of the recording you wish to download, then tap on the thumbnail when you have made your selection, or wait for 5 sec for buffering to enter the download start screen.
- Tap on from previews to enter the download interface.
Firmware Update
Upgrade using the APP:
If a new version of the firmware is released, opening the App will prompt you to download it. You can also check/update from the APP by entering 'Me-> About', and clicking to check for a new version, the App will automatically download and upgrade.
Upgrade using the PC:
Access your Dash Cam via PC with a USB data cable. Download the latest firmware for your camera, unzip, and copy the content you have unzipped onto the built-in memory. Power on the camera and it will apply the firmware automatically.
- NOTE: Do not power off your Dash Cam until it begins continuous recording as it may cause permanent damage to the Dash Cam.
